Research interests
I’m currently exploring language regulation in English as a lingua franca (ELF) interaction as my ongoing PhD thesis. The thesis is conducted as a part of a larger project called Studying in English as a Lingua Franca (i.e. SELF). To read more about the project, go to http://www.eng.helsinki.fi/elfa/self.
I’m also taking part in a joint project of the Department of Applied Sciences of Education and the subjects of English, German, Romance Languages and Nordic Languages. The HY-TALK project concentrates on spoken language testing. To read more about the project, go to http://blogs.helsinki.fi/hy-talk/suullisen-kielitaidon-arviointitutkimus/in-english
In addition to ELF, spoken language and language education, I’m also interested in women’s studies (especially issues of language and gender, and feminist philosophies/theories).
