Research interests:

My research focuses on the evolution of sixteenth and seventeenth-century witchcraft pamphlets, though I have recently also started looking at medical advertising in pamphlets of the same period. I am especially interested in the structuring and argumentation devices in pamphlets as
tools for analyzing the interplay of orality, aurality and literacy in the new genre.

I am a member of the Scientific Thought-styles project in the
Research Unit for Variation, Contacts and Change in English (VARIENG).
